Adopt a Terrorist

A time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.  John 16:2

A friend showed me a website for a program called Adopt a Terrorist.  It's kind of like those adopt a starving child programs where you can sponsor a child in a third world country and you get to see their picture and a little bit about them.  Well, with Adopt a Terrorist, you can also browse pictures and bios, pick out the meanest, baddest one you can find (actually, many look pretty friendly) and adopt him as someone you're gonna pray for.  I signed up and got this Afgan warlord.  So the concept is kind of a hoot, but it's also serious and a good idea.  Remember Paul was a terrorist and Steven prayed for him.   Forgiveness changes things.

And the world is changing.  Jesus has been appearing to thousands of Muslims and they are getting saved.  If you do much socializing on the internet, you've probably run across someone from the Middle East that is either newly saved or Christian-curious.  The fields truly are ripe for harvest.

And don't forget to pray for Israel.  The way to peace in the Middle East is for both Jews and Muslims to know Jesus.

  1. I was unaware of John 16:2 (I know, life under a rock) which made my jaw drop! I have adopted Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh. He was the murderer of Daniel Pearl. That story, Daniel and his wife, touched me deeply so I felt this was the perfect choice. Thanks Seneca!
